Focusing On 2D Gel Electrophoresis and Image Analysis

The summer campaign has started! Analyze your 2D gels for free until the end of September!

Anyone who has ever visited Sweden will know that the summer months are without a doubt the best. After nearly 8 months of gloomy, wet, and windy weather, the sun reappears and all the beaches, parks, and coffee shops get over-run with happy people.

Frankly, we all get a little high on Vitamin D.

So what better way to kick off the summer than to share the awesome REDFIN Solo software we created with everyone for free?

As you may know, over the past 12 months, we’ve put a lot of work into REDFIN in general and REDFIN Solo in particular.

We think it’s amazing and have had great feedback from the community so far. Now we are really looking forward to having everyone try it out and see how much it’ll help their 2D gel based proteomics research.

Enter the summer campaign.

So what do you have to do to get your free 2D gel image analysis software?

  • Go to www.ludesi.com/download and download the REDFIN software (yes, it is free. no costs involved)
  • Create a REDFIN account (so we know where to store the generated data. nothing scary.)
  • Start analyzing your gels using the REDFIN Solo option!

Easy, really.

And as we all can’t help but be suspicious and cynical when a free offer comes our way, here are some answers to questions we know you can’t help but ask…

Why are we doing this?

Like mentioned above, we are extremely proud of the software we have created and we truly believe that you will love to use it as much as we do. That’s why we are making it free for the next 3 months. We want as many people as possible to use it. If you feel like you want to give something back, why not provide us with some feedback? We always love to hear what you think.

Will you ever be charged anything?

No. There are no strings attached to this offer and no hidden costs.

How long does the campaign last?

We are counting the summer as 3 months and therefore the campaign will stop end of September.

Do you have to do anything in particular to “activate” this campaign?

No, all you have to do is download the REDFIN software and create your account. Then you are free to analyze away…

Is there a limit on how many gels you can analyze or which features you can access?

Nope, there are no such limitations. You can analyze as many gels as you are physically able of doing and use all the features of the REDFIN software.

What happens to your results when the summer is over?

You can continue accessing your results and all features of the REDFIN software indefinitely. The only thing that changes is that you will have to start paying for any new projects that you would like to analyze after the summer. If you’re wondering how much that costs, check out our pricing page.

Are the Ludesi image analysis service options also free?

No. Although you can use the service options Basic and Pro at any time to have your 2D gels analyzed for you, you will be asked to purchase analysis credits at the usual rate.

So, now that there is nothing stopping you from getting REDFIN installed on your own computers (yes, you can install REDFIN on as many computers as you like), we wish you a lot of fun with the software and successful analyzing!

Oh, and enjoy the summer!!
